Read + Review — The Blood of Olympus, by Rick Riordan

The seven demigods are nearing the final battle and Gaea is about to be awoken. Piper, Leo, Jason, Percy, Hazel, Frank, and Annabeth will need all their strength if they are going to save Mount Olympus. Meanwhile, Reyna, Nico, and Coach Hedge are heading to Camp Half-Blood to stop a war with Camp Jupiter. Everyone knows that one of the seven will have to die, but who?

In my opinion, the book was a fulfilling adventure to conclude the series. Everyone looks out for each other and will do almost anything to save one another. When they met Nike running rampant on Mount Olympus, they are forced to fight each other, but Hazel’s clever diversions make an easy escape. Buford the Wonder Table’s mini Coach Hedge keeps everybody laughing with its silly phrases like, “PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!” Trouble is brewing, but these seven demigods are sure they’ll win.

One memorable thing is Buford the Wonder Table with its mini Coach Hedge. Every now and then, mini Coach Hedge would shout something ridiculous like, “PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!” or, “GIVE ME THIRTY PUSH-UPS!”
