Even though he is paralyzed from the waist down, Jamie Grimm is still pretty funny. After winning the semifinals for being one of the funniest kids on the planet, Jamie Grimm has become quite the big shot at school.Without meaning to, he begins to push away his friends, family, and all the people who support him. Not only are his friendships starting to suffer, but the pressure to make up the best comedy material for the ultimate competition is worse than ever. All of a sudden, life isn’t so funny anymore.
I really enjoyed this book. It was really easy to relate to and the writing was relaxed casual, which I liked. I also liked how the main character wasn’t completely perfect and had to face their own problems throughout the story. It helped me understand and get lost in the story. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would love to read it all over again.
One thing that really stuck with me throughout the book was the unfairness of people with disabilities. The characters in the book only liked Jamie because he was popular and famous for a time. People that bullied him because he was in a wheelchair pretended to be his friend on live TV. I feel like this happens a lot to people with disabilities today. They are mistreated and looked down upon in society, when in reality they are just as good as everyone else.

Random stuff about me:
* Favorite book: Hmmmm, this is hard, since it changes all the time as I read new stuff and depending on what mood I’m in. However, there is one book that I know will still make me snort with laughter even when I’m 80 years old — The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams.
* Favorite food: perfectly made toast
* Favorite band/music: Cake. I will never get enough Cake.
* Favorite reference question: Q: How long does it take the galaxy to rotate once? A: It’s called a galactic or cosmic year and it takes about 225-250 million earth years.
* Pets: I have two cats and a dog. Marcus and Grey are the cats who were rescued from a box in the woods when they were just little puffballs. When they are not acting insane, they are very sweet and purr loudly. My dog is named Peter and he's a medium size poodle mix (we call him the substandard poodle). He's got floppy ears, snores and loves green beans.
