Read + Review — Writer to Writer: From Think to Ink by Gail Carson Levine

W2W From Think to InkThis book is about teaching aspiring teen authors how to write! It’s divided into eight sections which cover everything from character building to poetry. It is coated with words of wisdom that are beyond helpful for many teens who are interested in the craft. Some of my favorite pieces of advice from Writer to Writer: From Think to Ink are that the only way to get better is through practice and how to successfully create a mood. Written by Gail Carson Levine, who is a published and loved author, who better to learn the ropes of writing from?

I absolutely loved this book! It is written in a very reader friendly format so that even someone who doesn’t know where to start when it comes to writing can begin their journey. What was fantastic about it was that it was aimed toward teens who are starting out, rather than for adults who already have much more experience. This book has motivated me to continue practicing and work more on perfecting my writing.

My favorite part of this book was the whole section on poetry because, for me, it’s the most daunting type of writing, it really helped creating poems seem so much less intimidating!
