I Totally Funniest is a book dealing with Jamie Grimm, a normal kid comedian from Long Beach. Until he gets into the semi-finals of “The Planet’s Funniest Kid” contest. He has gone from another loser to the most popular kid in school. Though he ends up losing his normal, old self to this new, egotistical kid, after passing to the finals. In the final chapters, many different answers come out. But what are they you ask? Well, find out in I Totally Funniest.
I thought overall, it had a great plot and very good jokes. The characters’ traits and actions were well thought, and strongly built. They were kind of like the characters in Harry Potter, because JK Rowling could easily get you to hate a character at the beginning of the book, then get you to love him, but it’s too late, he’s dead now. Just in case you’re wondering, no one dies in the book.
One memorable thing about the book is that it really emphasizes on not forgetting yourself, no matter what. There are two things you can have. Wealth and Fortune, or friendship and respect. But you cannot have both.
