Rafe Khatchadorian is a troublesome boy who fails everything, and got expelled from “the most frightening and terrible Middle School on earth.” In order to get re-enrolled, he has to take a program “full of fun,” and pass it. Rafe thinks it will be miserable and objects doing it, but his mom thinks it’s a great idea. Obviously, Rafe is right, and the worst week of his life begins along with Sergeant Fish, Sergeant Pittman, and some other troublesome kids. At the Program, Rafe faces challenge after challenge, and has to earn tags by being helpful, “or else.” Will Rafe survive the Program?
This book is absolutely one of the best books I’ve ever read in my lifetime. The whole time I was reading, I just couldn’t put the book down. I had to find out what going to happen next. James Patterson takes you flying on a hilarious adventure in Rafe’s life, adding funny pictures and graphics along the way to make it more realistic. You’ll be surprised by how time really flies by as you read. I really liked how the author related everything back together at the end of the book, summing it all up. Also, there is Middle School level vocabulary, which makes the book seem more interesting.
I liked all the graphics and funny pictures; they helped me get an idea of what going outside of what the story said. They also added to the humor of the book.
