51je-Tg3pHL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_In book four of the I Funny series, Jamie Grimm has finally become the winner of the Planet’s Funniest Kid Comic Competition, and has received a million dollar award. Jamie Grimm uses the million dollar award to fix up his uncle’s restaurant. He has also received a contract to star in a new television show about him and his life! Jamie just has to sign the contract to receive more money and become a star in a television show! Jamie’s life seems great, but he finds out that he is starting to lose his sense of humor. He seems very excited about the contract at first, but then he worries that he will not act well in the show and does not hurry to sign the contract. Jamie then discovers that he has to sign the contract and star in the television show or the million dollars that he earned will be taken away. If Jamie signs the contract, he might not act well in the television show because he has stage fright. His entire career as a comedian might be over if he signs the contract. If Jamie does not sign the contract, then he will be forced to return the million dollars and his uncle might be forced to sell his restaurant. Jamie decides to sign the contract in order to save his uncle’s restaurant. Now an actor, Jamie can skip school and be a celebrity! But life for Jamie is not too easy. Jamie runs into all sorts of problems. He gets bullied and loses the trust of some of his friends. Will Jamie be a celebrity or a failure?

I enjoyed reading this book. I loved  how I could relate to Jamie because both of us are in middle school. I loved how the book had many funny jokes such as: “What is the center of gravity? The letter v!” I also loved how the book was not one hundred percent funny. The book had many sad parts that made me feel sympathetic towards Jamie. My favorite character in this book was Jamie because of his endless humor. Most of his jokes made me crack up when I read this book. When I read this book, I could not stop. I read the entire book in one day because I had to know what would happen next. My least favorite character was Donna Dinkle because she was very rude and annoying to Jamie. I liked how the book was written in first person because it made me feel very close to Jamie.

I clearly remember many of the funny jokes and illustrations in the book. I would recommend this book to anybody who has a sense of humor or anybody who likes to read other books by James Patterson such as the Middle School series.
