The book starts off with Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo, and Coach Hedge all leaving Camp Half-Blood to go and get Percy back from Camp Jupiter. Once they arrive at Camp Jupiter, the leader of Camp Jupiter declares war on Camp Half-Blood. The book shows the journey of the demigods fulfilling their quest and the many speed bumps that they encounter. Their quest being to shut the doors of death.
I love how unique the story line is, it’s something that no other author is able to do. Some other authors have tried to write similar pieces, but they all pale in comparison. Being a major history nerd myself, I love how even though it’s just a story of a bunch of kids attempting to save the world, you also get to learn about Greek and Roman history. When I first started reading the book, I wasn’t a fan of how every chapter focused on a different character but as the book came to a close I ended up loving it because it allowed you to be able to know different point of views instead of just one.
The most memorable part was listening to all of the different characters talk about all of the amazing rooms that are part of the ship they traveled on. The ship was amazing.
