Lea Saldana is a clipper. She’s paid to kill in the name of Goddess Safraella. When her family is killed by a rival clipper family, Da Via, she’s bent on revenge. Along the way to having revenge, Lea makes a friend, and discovers truths about the Da Vias and the Saldanas. She also learns what the true meaning of being a disciple of Safraella means.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was filled with romance and action. I loved that the heroine was a strong character, and how she took things into her own hands. One part I didn’t like was the amount of violence. It was just a tad bit extreme.
One memorable thing about the book is when Lea faces ghosts. I think this part in the book is very important in defining how devoted Lea is to Safraella. It also helps Lea understand herself.
