Read + Review — Paper Towns by John Green

papertownsThe book Paper towns by John Green is a thrilling mystery that will send chills down a reader’s back. The main character, Quentin Jacobsen, will stop at nothing to find the missing Margo Roth Spiegelman. He goes to various different locations, changing the setting of the book numerous times. The setting starts off in the town Jefferson Park located in Orlando, Florida. Throughout the book, as Q is looking for Margo the setting changes all over the “paper towns”. The more Q searches for Margo, the more he realizes he might not have known her after all.

My favorite part of this was probably the beginning when Margo and Q go on an adventure. John Green adds a lot of humor in the start of the book. I think that this book is a wonderful book for young adults looking for suspense. The one thing that I really liked about this book is how the characters learned about the importance of their high school friendships. They learned that will need to cherish high school before they all go their separate ways. This is a book that I very much recommend.

The most memorable thing about the book is the humor. Even through all the suspense, John Green was always able to add something to lighten up the readers. He put himself in the mindset of a senior in high school and was able to portray the characters.
