Read + Review — The Lost and Found by Katrina Leno

lostandfoundLouis and Frannie had been online “pen-pals” ever since they were little. They don’t even know each other’s names, what each other look like, but they would still consider themselves good friends. Both of them are also weirdly known for losing random objects. Both of the friends are one day sent a letter in the mail which pushes both of them to travel to Austin, Texas. This is where the story really starts. There’s quite a few twists on the road trip. They mysteriously gather each other’s “lost” items, but there’s no such thing as a coincidence. Why is this happening? Who did this?

One thing I really liked in this book was the pacing. There would be mysterious moments, funny moments, exciting moments. But, the words bonded everything together so well that the book flowed very elegantly. I do think that sometimes the situations where a bit absurd, but in my opinion, I like books like that. I also didn’t really like that some of the scenes should have been a bit more extended in my opinion or maybe some more back story on the individual characters.

One memorable thing about this book is the whole experience of reading about the road trip. It’s really where the story shoots off into space. I also liked the many twists that the author added along the road trip.
