When Charlie and her family move from Chicago to a town in Arizona, she feels like an outcast. Everything she loved about her former home is gone. Though when she finds a mysterious, high-tech bracelet, her life gets a little more interesting. She soon realizes that she can sprint like a cheetah, lift like an elephant, and more. But what she doesn’t know is the danger that it may bring into her life.
I absolutely loved the plot line of this book. It’s twists and turns kept me hooked the whole way through. The characters were also pretty interesting, because the author could describe them as new, unfamiliar people. However, I thought that the author could have written the novel with more description.
This book makes you think. This bracelet isn’t entirely magical; it is a work of technology. It’s scary and fascinating to wonder if our modern technology can give us powers like Charlie’s.
