Read + Review – House of Secrets by Chris Columbus and Ned Vizzini

house-of-secretsThe book was about three kids, Brendan, Eleanor, and Cordelia who just moved into their new home but just then they were taken to a new world where three of Denver Kristoff’s books were made into one and the three kids had entered the story. The setting of the story changes, the settings are California, the ocean which is not specified, and Tinz. The plot is that the three kids get out of the book as fast as possible with minimum deaths. Brendan is the sporty boy and the kid who has a very strong memory, Cordelia is a book lover and is the smartest of the group, and Eleanor smallest and most determined kid in the group.
I think the book was AWESOME! I loved this book it had just the right amount of everything. The situations of the book were well-chosen and really made me read the book. The book had a good amount of humor. It made me laugh a lot. The characteristics of the characters were very good. The way the book was a mashup of three fictional books made the book better because the main characters had information about the events in the book and that made it even better.
One memorable thing about the book is that when Brendan, Cordelia, and Eleanor get into the fictional. I think this because it is when the real story began and that was when I was hooked.
