Read + Review – Confessions of a High School Disaster by Emma Chastain

29220723Chloe Snow considers her life to be a disaster. Her best friend is constantly getting on her nerves, her dad always wants to know how she feels, and to top it all off, her mother has moved to Mexico to work on her novel. To explain the true emotions she really feels about everything happening around her, she writes daily in her diary. Through this, we see how Chloe truly feels about her parents, the friends that she has, and the craziness that has made up her freshman year of high school.Told through the entries written in her diary, Confessions of a High School Disaster tells the humorous and heartbreaking story of the life of Chloe Snow.

One thing that I really enjoyed about this book was the writing style. I loved how the author decided to tell the story through the main character’s diary entries. This really showed how Chloe truly dealt with everything that was going on in her life. This really strengthened the connection between the main character and me.

One thing that I enjoyed about this book was how Chloe’s friends were always there to support her. I enjoyed the fact that they never stopped caring about her, even at her worst moments.
