Read + Review: Water Memory by Valérie Vernay and Mathieu Reynés

This book was about a girl named Marion and how she moved into her grandmother’s house. She and her mother think the house is beautiful and calm, but it turns out to be the opposite. While her mother is at work or visiting neighbors, Marion explores the mysterious beach. She soon discovers creepy statues and an unfriendly old man. Marion has to work hard to figure out what is really going on.

I really liked this book and would recommend it to others. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending. It was really rushed and felt like it wasn’t the end. I also liked the art style but not how the characters were drawn. This is a comic book or graphic novel, so it was a fairly quick read. Overall this was a short but great book.

I think the most memorable thing in this book was the ending. It was predictable but also very sudden. I remember wishing that there was a second book to continue the story.
