Digital magazines! Yep, thanks to the Library of Virginia, you now have the opportunity to read magazines on your computer, smartphone and tablet for FREE with your library card. Our subscription list is huge! You’ll find many of your favorite mags including Seventeen, Girl’s Life, Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, ESPN The Magazine, and more just as they appear in print, in color and with photos.

Check out as many issues as you want through our Digital Magazines site, and keep them as long as you like. There are no expiration dates.

England’s Liverpool Museum posted a nice advent calendar — each day features an item in their collection that they link to the season!

During the last week of the year, many will celebrate Kwanzaa. There’s a nice video of the history of the holiday, here on the History Channel’s website.
